Outfit: Mix and match

Sometimes there’s a lot going on in an outfit but it still works. I like to think (but please correct me if I’m wrong) that that’s the case with this one. I guess it’s because none of the items has an obvious print. In my opinion, in this way you can combine quite some pretty stuff without it getting too much…

The day we shot these photo’s it was actually pretty cold. But I kept smiling! Because strolling the Nine Streets in an outfit in which you feel great while the sun is shining like crazy and the skies are more blue then all of the Smurfs… is worth some smiles and laughter. Right?

About the outfit: the chequered tights were actually a last minute decision, because I couldn’t find my normal ones (which happens more often to me by the way). The hat I bought in one of those cute little shops in the Nine Streets, called The Darling (the name already gives away the cuteness), the denim dress is from pretty denim brand Garcia and the boots are from my all-time-favorite River Island.

That leaves me with the last but most certainly not least item in this outfit. The too pretty for words Proenza Shouler bag. Now who wouldn’t become happy from wearing such a beauty? A bag is everything in an outfit. Let alone a designer bag. It can turn every outfit around. So maybe that’s what did the trick here. I’m not sure. But it could easily be. What do you think?
