Ibiza – My favorite hotspots

Sunshine, pretty beaches, a whole lot of crazy party’s plus some sort of hippie vibe. It’s Ibiza I’m talking about. Obviously!

Last week I got the honor to visit the island for the second time. It was once again an awesome adventure; a week full of love, peace and happiness. But that wasn’t all, this week was also full of wine, good food a soft hotel bed (exactly as hotel beds should be), stunning views and some modest dance moves. Ok, maybe not so modest.

Hereby I share with you my 6 fave Ibiza hotspots to go to:

1. Cotton Beachclub

Woooooow. That’s actually all I wanted to say when I was heading down the stairs and my eyes caught the beach and the sea.

We were going to the Cotton Club in the afternoon already, so we claimed the best beach beds and enjoyed a long sunny afternoon with sushi, ceaser salad and gin tonics that were brought to our table.

When the evening fell we moved up to the restaurant where I had a de-li-cious quinoa salad + the most awesome vegan burger ever (they are sometimes really awefull, but this one was everything but that).

While we were having dinner, we were getting slightly drunk while we watched one of the most beautiful sunsets ever. Best feeling in the world.

2. The Harbour Club

Lots of you probably know that there are several Harbour Clubs in Holland. Their interior design is cool in all their venues and the seafood is to be called pretty famous.

But of course the Harbour Club on Ibiza is better than all the others. Why? The sun always shines, the sky is blue and you can eat their too good to be true sushi with your feet in the sand.

Oh and one more last thing: peking duck! I repeat: peking duck. Nothing more to add…

3. Sa Punta/Patchwork

This restaurant isn’t very well known yet and even though a part of me thinks we should keep it that way, the other part of me really wants to share all about this place with you. Ok, so the second half wins (it always does).

Sa Punta is great for dinner, but what’s even better, is that after dinner, you can go up to their rooftop terrace and have a cocktail at patchwork: a colorful hippie-ish, though still chique venue. One warning: take a sweater with you, when it’s windy it can get a little cold up here.

4. Ushuaia Beachclub

Huh, wait? That’s the party from 5PM to midnight place right?! Right! And even though I love the Ushuaia for that too (the closing party of Armin van Buuren was a to the wsome), I can most certainly recommend their beachclub as well.

I’m a huge fan of their pad thai and sushi. But there’s a lot of good stuff on the menu. And if you can’t choose, you can always ask the pretty waiters if they can help you out 😉

5. Experimental Beach

Up next: Experimental Beach. This beach club is decorated in a very creative way: yay! I like that. Their bar for example is actually a boat. Now, how cool is that?

The beach itself exists from rocks, but they found something to solve that ‘problem’: they’ve put a long floating pier in the water. Ideal! Foodwise I’d say choose the watermelon salad or stuffed chicken. You won’t be disappointed.

6. Ibiza Sun Hotel

This hotel is located in Playa D’en Bossa (the party city of Ibiza). Luckily it’s located in a quiet part, which means: no drunk people under your window at night. From the hotel it’s only walking distance to the cabstand, so taxi’s are easy to fix. Plus some of the popular beachclubs are really close.

The hotel itself is modern, clean, has a great breakfast, an icecold pool (which you are gonna love once you’ve been lying in the sun for an hour or so, believe you me), nice massages (that are not too expensive actually) and the delicious smoothies. At Ibiza Sun Hotel I fell asleep with a smile and I also woke up with it. So I guess it’s worth a try (http://www.ibizasunapartments.com/en).

Ok. This sucks. Now that I wrote about all these great places I really want to go back #oops! Well I’m just gonna hold on to the memories, because they’re really pretty.

And of course, there is always next year. I’m gonna think about which of my fave places I will then visit first and which bikini I’ll wear when doing so.

Hurray! The Ibiza smile is back! Have a great day. And just ignore the rain. It ignores us too you know…
